Our Wedding on July 7th

Yes, this post is well over-due. We've been asked many times for pictures from our wedding and finally we've put together a few pictures to give you some idea of the weekend...

First, what's a wedding without a wedding cake?

We held our civil marriage on Saturday the 7th of July 2007. This was combined with a buffet lunch, live music and about 150 guests.

Here you see the combined family portrait (immediate family only - see later pic!)...

And the lucky bride gets her ring...

There was plenty to drink and many reasons to cheer...

We think most our guests enjoyed themselves...

You can count on parents to be ready with advice - or embarrasing baby stories!

The first day was only the start though. The next morning Peter is up early with his "gang" to go to Lynn's home. He has to pass some tests set by Lynn's gang before he can enter the house and claim his bride. Such as standing in the middle of the street and calling out "I love you" in 5 different languages...

Here's Lynn's gang - responsible for creating those challenges!

After that it's back to Peter's house - Lynn has now officially left home!

Then back to Lynn's family home for traditional tea ceremony (Lynn's nice grandmother here), receiving red packets (money!) and lunch.

That evening we held the traditional Chinese dinner for family members at Chijmes, a converted church.

We got to walk up the aisle...

There was plenty of cheering again...

And now Peter is officially part of a MUCH bigger family!
